Staff
The people who do the work.
Shannon White, LCDC
Founder & Executive Director
Shannon White graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Following her own journey into recovery, which began on August 25, 2007, she transitioned from teaching to addiction treatment, returning to school to become a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.
In 2011, Shannon founded Grace To Change, fulfilling her vision of providing compassionate outpatient treatment for individuals and families affected by addiction. Her work has included participation in multiple drug courts, volunteer service teaching Moral Reconation Therapy classes in the Collin County Jail, and teaching inside multiple school districts' alternative programs. Through these efforts, she has become a dedicated advocate for people living with substance use disorders throughout Collin County and beyond.
In 2017, Grace To Change became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, expanding its ability to serve individuals with limited financial resources and helping ensure that access to treatment is not determined by the ability to pay.
