Grace To Change Raises More Than $80,000 for Addiction Recovery and Support at Annual Gala

Title of blog post

Grace To Change supporters came together for an evening of celebration, connection and generosity at the organization’s annual gala, raising more than $80,000 to help individuals and families impacted by substance abuse find lives of sustained recovery.

The event brought together recovery advocates from across the region, including leaders from local school districts, district courts and probation offices, as well as state and local elected officials, nonprofit partners and corporate supporters. Guests celebrated the people and partnerships that have helped sustain Grace To Change’s mission and make recovery possible for individuals and families throughout Collin County for 15 years, including:

Shannon White, who received the Grace To Change Founder’s Award. White was recognized for 15 years of leadership and steadfast dedication to the organization’s founding vision of making recovery accessible to all. Throughout her service, White has led with integrity and compassion while helping scale Grace To Change’s programs and services throughout Collin County.

Sara Black was also honored with the Rooted to Rise Award for her vision and dedication to helping establish what has become a 15-year legacy of support for some of the most vulnerable members of Collin County. Sara was instrumental in the initial work it took to open Grace To Change. Her attention to detail and understanding of the requirements helped us put systems in place that we still utilize today.

Lindsay Pultz received the 2026 Community Champion Award in recognition of her dedication to Grace To Change as a local business owner and recovery advocate. Pultz, the owner of Café Brazil, has turned her family’s incredible pain of losing a child to a fentanyl overdose into community impact by ensuring that every young person has access to education, community and recovery resources.

“The work of recovery can be challenging, emotionally straining and sometimes isolating, but then my team and I look around the room and are reminded of just how many people are holding us up and pushing us forward,” said White. “At this 15-year milestone, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for every person that has advocated for a safer, healthier Collin County.”

Funds raised through the gala will advance Grace To Change’s work providing accessible, wrap-around services and resources to Collin County individuals and families struggling with substance abuse.
